A common misconception about working with an architect is that they are unaffordable.
The price of working with an architect is truthfully all relative to the type, size, scope and complexity of the project. Since all projects are not created equal, the amount of time an architect needs to work on each project can vary substantially. While some may only take a few hours, others could take much longer.
When it comes to what an individual is willing to pay for an architect, it can be likened to the services of doctors and lawyers. Some will cost more than others, but that can be attributed to the level of service they provide. More complex medical procedures and extensive legal battles will inevitably cost more than simple matters. The same can be said of architecture: the more complex the project, the higher the fee will be; the smaller the project, the lesser the fee.
If the stigma of the “high cost” of working with an architect has kept someone from working with one in the past, we encourage them to reach out for a quote. It may be that we’re more affordable than you think.
