MN-AIA 2020 Takes on Different Feel
In the past Kaizen has had the opportunity to attend the MN AIA Convention in person. Historically the convention has been a week-long event that occurs around the second week in November. However, like the majority of activities in our current lives; it had a virtual look this year. For three Tuesday’s during the month of October, attendees signed in via the comfort of their own desk to partake in CEU (continuing education units) seminars, as well as browse the exhibit hall.
The conference has always been a time of retreat, to get away from the typical work day and to be inspired by fellow architects. I certainly missed the in-person experience, but am thankful that there was still a conference held this year in which I could participate and receive my CEU credits.
Interesting fact: The first draft of Kaizen's business plan was actually written between seminar breaks during the convention a few years back!
